Slab-sided Pacific Yew warbow 102lb @ 30" max 31"
An excellent quality stave which suffered from drying crack during seasoning, although that has limited the maximum draw weight, the bow has settled to create a very characterful, but clean, warbow. The bow is physically large and copies one of the largest warbows found aboard the Mary Rose warship. The bow would suit regular use and is comfortable to hold given its wider slab-sided* section. The stave originated from the pacific coast of America and has a typically clean and tight-grained finish. This bow is priced to reflect the drying cracks it sustained and is sold as seen.
*Slab-sided refers to the square limb profile with a rounded handle which are among the physically largest warbows found on the Mary Rose.
