Oregon Yew warbow 127lb @ 30" max 31"
An excellent quality piece of yew wood, very tight grained, very clean and of medium density to be heavy but large enough in the hand to be an enjoyable bow to shoot over a weekend. The sapwood has been taken down to the maximum extent to resemble the best quality workmanship. The bow was intentionally made slightly longer than average for a medieval warbow to offer the maximum lifespan. This bow would not look out of place in a museum and would be very recognisable by an English archer from the middle ages. Finished in a mixture of oils and varnishes to retain a natural looking exterior finish whilst being safe to use in all weathers.
